Friday One

I sat in my empty studio thinking about how to make it into a place I would feel comfortable. I'm collecting chairs and a desk to move in on Sunday. While sitting in my studio, I brainstormed more ideas for Tuesday's project. I'm looking into musical theater first because that's were my brain went first. I journaled about why I like musical theater so much, and i came to the word 'escape'. I've always seen music as an escape from my boring surroundings or to a place in my head that is completely comfortable and content. I want to explore the 'places' that certain pieces of music take me. But I also love the idea of taking an educational point of view, to put a history of musical theater in a context that is an interactive experience (off the stage). I'm thinking for Tuesday that I want to take a piece of music and explore the history of it first, then the visceral aspect next.
