Read about Diana Ross and her beginnings growing up in the Brewster-Douglass projects in Detroit
Talked to Stephan Schudlich about the logistics of putting up a public installation in Detroit, which he says is a nightmare. I've decided my show will most definitely be in Work Detroit.
Made contact with Fran Dorn, a nurse at St. Pats in Detroit. I'm in the process of setting up a time when I can visit.
WHAT I ACCOMPLISHED
A better understanding of this project becoming a reality. Logistically.
WHAT NEXT
Stephen stressed contacting Martha Reeves, the Detroit Historical Museum, and the African-American History Museum about my project ASAP, so I will be doing that.
And reading, of course.

Um... art on the street is alot cooler than art in a gallery. You should at least TRY to exhibit your work however you want. If you're going to have to fight Detroit city council... put on your boxing gloves! Or just do it- put whatever on the street, take the photo, collect your stuff, and run. Don't "definately" decide something so critical based on hearsay.
